'True love' or 'pure love' is most cherished dream of every lover. It even surpasses the dream of 'wealth creation' or 'making money'. We know the phraseology 'Love at first sight'. One gets infatuated by someone at the first meet. It is a one way attraction.


In some cases, at the first instance, both man and woman get 'inter-locked'. The message 'I love you' is transmitted with an astronomical speed. The carrier or the courier is either or all of the five senses, eyes, skin, ears, nose or tongue.



Heart pumps the blood throughout the arteries and veins of the body. The micro antennae located at the above mentioned 'sense centers' catch the signals. From these nuclei the signals 'I love you', 'He is a guy for me', or 'She is a girl for me' are transmitted to the heart. The brain then takes over the control and puts on the circuitry. It tickles and awakens all the secretions such as pituitary, adrenaline etc; and systems such as digestive, reproductive and like.

The eyes meet, stares get locked. The ears listen and the tones are tuned in harmony. The olfactory receptors of aroma of natural or aromatic fragrance of body pull them together. Both enjoy, and cherish the taste of different recipes. And the king of the senses 'touch' plays miraculous role in establishing the 'Love at first sight'.

Well, now the question arises, whether it is true love? Let us, for a while assume that the answer is affirmative. The next question comes to our mind is whether it is to be correlated with the duration. Whether this love is long lasting, life-time lasting or eternal? Is it immortal?

At the spur of moment the fire is set. Two hearts meet. But many a times it extinguishes instantaneously, within a short span. And such type of ephemeral love must not be called as a true-love at all. This is what the authorities, pundits on this subject say. Well, prima facie, their logic seems correct.

Let us discuss the prefix of 'True-love'. It is derived from the word 'Truth'. And truth is eternal. Hence 'True love' means eternal love. When we browse the pages of history such love is found one in million. Then the corollary is to be accepted that the love of the majority of population is sham. The heterosexual union is just foul play of sexual gratification. If it's not a true one, then is it related to merely mean motives?

No. No, it must not be so. Otherwise a love of any common man and woman shall be false, obnoxious, dirty and far from truth.

Here I object to the definition and meaning of the truth in context of love. The 'True love' between any common man and woman might not last for days, months, years or centuries. But for whatever duration it soothes and comforts the souls, those many days it may be declared as a 'True love'. Someone has rightly said,

"Love me for few seconds,
I shall grab and cherish
Then I will not care to die
I shall be ready to perish."

If the smallest period gives you tons of love, the memories of those instances can be truly cherished for lifetime. Love can not be bound by space and time.
